WHAT'S WITH THESE TESTS I NEED TO HAVE DURING MY EYE EXAM? DO I REALLY NEED THEM?
Well, yes. And here's why ....
In order to fully assess the health of your eyes, our ultra-wide digital retinal camera gives us a 210 degree view of your retina in the back of your eye. As well, our advanced OCT imaging enables us to examine the tissue layers of your retina and optic nerve. This is our standard for optimal preventative care. In today's new COVID world, this means that we can often avoid using dilating drops and do not have to come too close to you during your examination. This keeps everyone safe.
Our clinic is taking all the necessary precautions set out by the Ontario Government. We wish to assure you that we are meeting or surpassing all required optometry-specific PPE and standards of care processes as set out by the College of Optometrists and the College of Opticians to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Despite these precautions, there is still risk of spread or infection that we cannot completely mitigate. We suggest that if you have concerns about visiting us at this time and there is no urgent issue, please rebook your appointment for a later date. We understand.
